Third party services and content

Our website, products, and services may include integrated content, or links to content, provided by third parties. This Privacy Policy does not address the privacy, security, or other practices of the third parties that provide such content. These third parties may, outside the Association’s control, use technologies to track your online activities over time and across different websites and online platforms.

Protection and storage of the information we collect

We deploy administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to comply with applicable industry standards and legal requirements in connection with the safeguarding of information that we collect. This includes, when required or appropriate and feasible, obtaining written assurances from third parties that may access your data that they will protect the data with safeguards designed to provide a level of protection equivalent to that adopted by the Association.

However, please note that no information system can be 100% secure. Consequently, we cannot guarantee the security of your information. Moreover, we are not responsible for the security of information you transmit to us over networks that we do not control, including the internet and wireless networks.

Making communication choices

If you do not wish to be contacted via email, direct mail, telephone, or text message, please let us know your preferences by contacting us (see the Contact Us section at the end of this Privacy Policy). Please provide your name, company or firm name, mailing address, email address, and/or telephone number so that we may identify you correctly. You may also unsubscribe from our promotional email communications using the link provided in each email. If you ask us to remove you from promotional lists, we will maintain your name on a “do not contact” list to ensure that we continue to honor your requests.

Due to privacy concerns and our inability to verify individual requests and contact information, we are unable to honor “opt out” requests made by a third party on your behalf. For removal from mailing lists, it may take up to 20 business days to process your request and, due to the fact that mailings are planned long in advance, 60 days to process your postal mail request.

When you interact with our website to renew your membership or purchase a product or service, we will continue to confirm such transactions via email and, if questions arise concerning your order, we may contact you via email, postal address, or telephone number. If you change your mind about your choices, you may start receiving promotional communications from us again by logging onto your online account and changing your preferences, by signing up when you visit our website, when you enter a contest, sweepstakes or survey, or by contacting our customer service team.

Accessing and Changing Your Information

To review or change the contact and other registration information you previously provided to us, log in to your account on our website. You may update stored information to manage your email and other account information.

Children’s Privacy

We do not permit the use of this website by minors under the age of 14. A child’s parent or guardian should contact us if we have inadvertently collected information about that child without the parent or guardian’s authorization, so that we may delete such information from our files.

Policy Changes

We update this Privacy Policy when we believe it is necessary to protect our members and to comply with a changing regulatory environment. We recommend that you check this Privacy Policy when you visit our website to be sure that you are aware of and understand our current policies. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, or in how we use or collect your personal information, we will prominently post a link to such changes at least 10 days prior to implementing the change. Your continued use of the Association website will constitute acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. If we make retroactive changes to the Privacy Policy, we will prominently post a link to such changes and we will email affected users at least 10 days prior to implementing the change.
