If I had to start over today with a brand new lash page… no clients, no following, no traction. I wouldn’t do what most lash artists are doing. I wouldn’t just post random sets. I wouldn’t wait for “perfect content.” And I definitely wouldn’t rely on hoping people find me. Because growing on Instagram today isn’t about posting more… it’s about posting with direction.
Here’s exactly what I’d do instead:
1. Get clear on who you’re trying to attract
Not “anyone who wants lashes.”
Specific clients.
Specific vibe.
Specific outcome.
Your content should make the right person feel like:
“this is exactly who I’ve been looking for.”
Because when your messaging is too broad, it doesn’t land with anyone.
2. Choose 3 content types and stick to them
Most lash artists struggle with content because they’re constantly guessing what to post.
Instead, simplify it.
Pick 3 categories and rotate them:
- Results → before & afters, transformations
- Trust → education, explanations, showcasing your expertise
- Personality → you, your vibe, your space
That’s it.
This creates consistency without overthinking.
3. Focus more on hooks than the actual content
You can have amazing work…
but if your content doesn’t grab attention, it won’t perform.
Your first line matters more than your lash set.
Think:
- “If your lashes aren’t lasting, read this”
- “This is why your lashes never look like the photo”
Strong hooks stop the scroll.
That’s what gets people to actually see your work.
4. Make it about the client, not other lash artists
This is one of the biggest mistakes.
Most lash content is created to impress other artists.
But your clients aren’t other lash artists.
They care about:
- How it will look on them
- How long it will last
- How it fits into their lifestyle
When you shift your content to speak to them, everything changes.
5. Stay consistent without overcomplicating it
You don’t need perfect content.
You don’t need to post 3 times a day.
You need simple, repeatable content that builds trust over time.
Consistency > perfection
Clarity > creativity
Final Thought
Growing your lash page isn’t about doing more… It’s about doing the right things consistently. And if your content has been feeling random, inconsistent, or not converting… this is probably why.
