3 Things I Wish I Knew Before Raising My Lash Prices

Raising your prices can feel like stepping off a cliff. What if everyone leaves? What if no one thinks you’re worth it? What if it backfires?

Take a breath, you’re not alone. Every successful lash artist has faced this fear. But the truth is, waiting too long to raise your prices can do more damage than raising them ever will.

Here are three things I wish I had truly understood before I raised mine:

  1. Not Everyone Will Leave, And That’s a Good Thing

Yes, some clients might leave. But you know what? Those usually aren’t your dream clients anyway. The ones who truly value your work, your time, and your expertise will stay.

Letting go of clients who can’t or won’t pay your worth makes space for the ones who will. And those are the clients you want to build your business around.

  1. If You Wait Until You’re 100% Ready, You’ll Never Do It

The feeling of total confidence? It might never come. Most of us wait for some magical moment when we feel fully “established” or “good enough.” But pricing isn’t about emotion, it’s about business.

Look at your cost per service. Look at your time. Look at your growth. Then make a decision that aligns with where you’re going, not where you started.

  1. You Have to Communicate the Value, Not Just the Price

When you raise prices, you also have to raise the client experience. That doesn’t mean buying a fancy couch. It means:

  • Showcasing your education
  • Explaining your lash choices
  • Being intentional with aftercare
  • Posting content that builds trust

Clients are more likely to pay a higher price when they understand what they’re paying for.

Raising your prices isn’t greedy, it’s necessary. It’s a signal that you take your work seriously and that your business is evolving. Will it feel scary? Yes. Will it be worth it? Also yes.

And if you’re not sure where to start, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
